My Writing Origin
Although this is in the About section of this website, I felt like everyone deserves to know a little about me and how my writing journey started.
So yes, I started writing when I was in grade school on an old dial-up computer. The stories were likely trash, but I continued on regardless. I was always better at English, writing, and history classes than I ever was at math and science. However, like all writers can probably attest to, I was told to find a career where I would have more financial freedom and a larger salary. So, I thought, hey, I will be a psychologist.
Well that was a fail. I ended up switching my major to Professional Writing at the end of my sophomore year at Kutztown University. You would think that would be the moment where I made βitβ and that is the end. I hate disappoint you, but truly, it was only the beginning. Without boring you with the details, I did not end up writing out of college.
I moved into healthcare adminisitration, and while I loved it, I was always missing that creative side. I worked alongside the best boss and coworker for five years until I decided to leave the corporate 9-5 and stay at home with my boys. Since then, personal blogging and social media have been my go-to, while getting lost in endless amounts of romance and fantasy novels.
Last year I started writing again but this time where my skill shined: creative fiction. Toying with the draft that would now be my first novel, I word vomited onto paper as much I could in 2024 and found that this was where I was meant to be. Without the support of my friends and family, I would have never gotten to this point and I am so so so grateful.
